New Product Development

NPD assists client companies to develop new products which are predominantly design – led and high value added, through the provision of:

• Access to NPD support through a dedicated design team within the JIIC.
• Access to technology and mentoring  through the JIIC team and  short-term loan of relevant equipment.
• Access to CAD/CAM through a dedicated team within the JIIC, including Rapid Prototyping.
• Specialist advice on laser welding and marking and surface finishing.
• Access to “Close to market” research through the JIIC team  and specific SME based research to ensure pertinent assistance.
• Knowledge transfer activities.
• Linkage to other assistance such as West Midlands Regional Technology network, and MAS
